Homemade Pear Butter Recipe

Ingredients Instructions
4 cups of peeled, cored, and chopped fresh pears Combine the chopped pears in a slow cooker.
1 cup of sugar (adjust to taste) Add sugar, and stir to combine with pears.
1 teaspoon of cinnamon Sprinkle cinnamon over the pear mixture.
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg Mix in the nutmeg.
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pinch of salt Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the pears are very soft.
Once cooked, blend the mixture until smooth. Keep cooking until it reaches your desired thickness, stirring occasionally.
Allow to cool before transferring to jars. Refrigerate or freeze for longer storage.
