We could all use a bit of comfort food these days, right? Carbohydrates tend to be my ultimate comfort food, especially those that require minimal effort to make. My favorite meals are those I can prepare in under 30 minutes, which is why I frequently turn to Bisquick biscuits. They’re quick, easy, and satisfy my carb cravings each time.

Easy Bisquick Drop Biscuits

When I shared my Homemade Bisquick Mix, I promised you could use it for your favorite Bisquick recipes. We have already made Bisquick pancakes, Bisquick muffins, and even a Bisquick breakfast casserole – and now it’s time for these easy drop biscuits!

With just two required ingredients—Bisquick mix and milk—these biscuits are perfect for small kids to help make. I love to serve these biscuits alongside dishes like Broccoli & Cheese Soup or Guinness Stew. They’re a quick solution for those nights when you forget to buy bread or prefer not to tackle rolls or garlic knots.

Aside from soups, consider serving them with butter and jam, apple butter, or comforting sausage gravy for a brunch treat. You can even fancy them up with whipped cherry butter for your holiday dinners!

How to Make Bisquick Biscuits

The only ingredients you’ll need for these simple biscuits are:

  • 2 1/4 cups Bisquick mix
  • 2/3 cup milk

While I usually have my homemade Bisquick mix ready to go, store-bought Bisquick works just as well. You can choose any milk you prefer, as both versions of Bisquick are dairy-free. Feel free to use your favorite milk alternative if you’d like a dairy-free option.

Follow these three simple steps to create your biscuits:

  1. Stir together the Bisquick mix and milk until it forms a soft, sticky dough.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 450℉ until golden brown (8-10 minutes)!

With such minimal prep time, you could have fresh biscuits out of the oven in about 15 minutes!

Recipe Variations and Other Flavors

This basic recipe makes classic Bisquick drop biscuits, but feel free to get creative! It’s easy to infuse these biscuits with extra flavors through herbs, spices, and mix-ins.

For a simple flavor enhancement, brush melted butter over the hot biscuits right out of the oven. For an extra touch, turn that butter into garlic butter!

Consider mixing in one or more of the following when preparing the dough:

  • ¼ to ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1-2 tablespoons of chopped chives
  • 1-2 tablespoons of chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup of cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 2 ounces of crumbled goat cheese or feta cheese
  • Several grinds of fresh black pepper

Mixing and matching these options lets you create your favorite biscuit flavor! For an inspired dish, combine cheese with garlic butter and parsley just like the popular Red Lobster biscuits.

Be careful not to add too many mix-ins at once, or your dough may not come together properly.

Another variation is the 7UP biscuits that use ingredients like 7UP (or Sprite) and sour cream for a light and fluffy texture.

Whether you’re seeking a quick side dish for dinner or a breakfast option you can whip up while half asleep, these Bisquick biscuits are sure to please!
