There’s nothing quite like a delightful fruit dip, especially during the summer months.

Quick, easy, and delicious, this dip serves as the perfect accompaniment for snacks or a simple dessert.

It’s fantastic for gatherings—tailgates, cookouts, or bridal showers are instantly elevated with a fruit dip on the table.

While my cream cheese fruit dip and Nutella fruit dip have always been popular, I sought to create a lighter option that was less sweet and perfect for warm weather.

Thus, this yogurt fruit dip came into being!

Quick and Easy Greek Yogurt Fruit Dip

If you enjoy yogurt with granola for breakfast or love yogurt popsicles, this yogurt fruit dip is sure to resonate with you.

It requires just three ingredients: Greek yogurt, cool whip, and fresh strawberries. The cool whip adds a light, fluffy texture and subtle sweetness, while the yogurt introduces a tangy flavor.

Mixing it together is a breeze; simply chill it in the fridge, and you’ll have a fabulous dip for those mid-afternoon cravings or casual summer dessert.

This is a recipe I can see myself preparing all summer long, especially for the kids after they hop out of the pool!

How to Make My Yogurt Fruit Dip

This recipe is a cinch to prepare.

You’ll need a few simple ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups strawberry Greek yogurt
  • 8 ounces thawed whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup diced fresh strawberries
Ingredients for yogurt fruit dip arranged on a countertop.

While I opted for a strawberry theme, feel free to explore other flavor combinations in the “recipe variations” section.

Greek yogurt’s thickness makes it my go-to choice for this dip. I recommend Dannon Light and Fit yogurt, but any favorite will do.

Just avoid plain yogurt, as we need the slight sweetness from flavored varieties in this dip.

Though I favor Cool Whip as the whipped topping, TruWhip is also a suitable alternative. If you’d prefer to skip the whipped topping, consider using stabilized whipped cream instead.

Serving Suggestions

This yogurt fruit dip pairs beautifully with fresh fruits like strawberries, sliced apples, grapes, pineapple, and bananas. Choose whatever fruits your family enjoys most!

But don’t limit yourself to just fruits! Graham crackers, vanilla wafer cookies, chocolate wafer cookies, or even animal crackers make excellent dippers, too.

You could also cube some cream cheese pound cake or whipping cream cake to enjoy with the dip.

Recipe Variations

While I prefer using strawberry yogurt and fresh strawberries, feel free to experiment with your favorite Greek yogurt flavors, such as raspberry, peach, or vanilla. You can fold in corresponding fresh fruits or skip them altogether.

If you like a touch more sweetness, a bit of honey or maple syrup can easily be stirred in.

For a dairy-free alternative, utilize your preferred dairy-free yogurt and whipped topping.

Storing Yogurt Dip

Store this yogurt fruit dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.

If you wish to freeze the dip, I suggest doing so before adding the fresh strawberries. Use an airtight container to freeze it for up to a month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Before serving, give it a good stir and fold in those freshly diced strawberries.

Strawberry Greek Yogurt 1 1/2 cups
Thawed Whipped Topping 8 ounces
Fresh Strawberries (diced) 1/2 cup
